AAU ASSOCIATION BASED EVENTS
How do I register my team for the AAU association event?
To register your team for an association event

To register your team for a non AAU
Association event you must contact each individual event operator separately. Contact information for each event operator can be found on the event listing page

When will the event schedule be posted?
AAU association events should be scheduled and posted online no later than the Sunday evening prior to the event. Exception: Winter Friendship Tournament. Due to tryouts being held on the same Sunday each year for teams in Michigan, teams are allowed to register, if space is available, up until the Tuesday prior to the event.
Scheduling Policy & Cut-Off Dates
All teams must be formally registered with payment submitted in order to be included on any AAU association event schedules. Specific cut-off dates are noted on each individual event page.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
Teams will only be granted a full refund if cancellation occurs prior to the schedule being started and pools being set. Once the pools and schedule are completed there will be no refunds.

Are ALL Association events ran as Running Clock events?
No. Michigan Girls AAU Basketball has both Running Clock AND Stopped Clock events. Make sure to read over each specific event page for more information.
Do teams have to qualify for the State Championships/Association Qualifying Tournaments?
No. These events are offered as both the State finals tournament and National qualifier tournament. The requirements are that teams that participate MUST be AAU members. This means that the Club, the coaching staff and each player on the team must be a member of AAU in order to participate in our State Championships (also called Association Qualifying Tournament).
NON-AAU ASSOCIATION BASED EVENTS

When will the event schedule be posted?
The AAU suggests that all event schedules should be posted no later than week prior to all non AAU association events. However, each event operator has their own event criteria for running their events as well as their own deadlines.
